In compliance with FTC requirements, we've written a short disclosure document informing you about the advertising on the site and the endorsements we may receive.

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by Allie and me. We accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. Around the site, you may encounter ads and sponsored posts; these are paid for by third-party entities. The ads that you see are generated by a third-party and may be based on your previous browsing history or data collected by a third-party (i.e. Google, Microsoft, etc.). We do not select the specific ads that you see, so every user's experience may be different. Sponsored posts are honest posts that we wrote, but that were requested and endorsed by a third-party.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. If we are compensated for any advertising or posts made on this blog, that content will be identified as such. For example, ads on this site are typically labeled with the word "ADVERTISEMENT" in their immediate vicinity and/or the "AdChoices" icon (a small blue triangular icon that typically appears near a corner of the ad block). Sponsored posts will be labeled as such at the location of the hyperlink to the post and/or in the blog post content immediately following the post title and date.

We may also be paid to use a specific product in a recipe, post, photograph, or series of photographs (i.e. product placement). These may be food items, ingredients, cooking equipment, or any other item that is necessary for us to do our work. If we are being paid to use an item, the sponsor will be acknowledged in some way within the post (we may thank them for donating an item, make a list of sponsors/sponsored items, or choose some other way to make clear that we are using an item at the request of a sponsor). However, not all products mentioned or photographed are placed by sponsors; we just own or frequently use some of them and, well, (for example) you can't chop an onion without a knife, so a knife has to be in the pictures. 

Even though we may be compensated to provide opinions on products, services, or any other topic, we have no interest in deceiving you. We will always give our honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics, products, or services. Any views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely our own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.

We reserve the right to remove, censor, or modify content at any time for any reason. This includes content written by us as well as comments by users. Posts containing inappropriate language or content in user comments will be removed as soon as reasonably possible.
